We’re having a beer release party, Saturday May 28th, that’s going to be out of this world! No, no it’s in Syracuse, but we are releasing the first beers of our worldly Expedition Series. The Expedition Series from Willow Rock Brewing Company represents unique offerings using ingredients from all around the globe. Scooter’s Choice is a Double IPA using only hops from Australia and New Zealand and Fetchez La Vache mashes lavender from Provence, France and hibiscus from Haiti into French Saison.  Come join us during your Memorial Day weekend and hey, bring the family, it will be the best staycation-beercation in Syracuse.

If you’re a regular at the brewery you probably already know that we love food trucks; we have been working with Toss n’ Fire and Tortilla Jacks to help provide delicious food options as much as possible on Fridays and Saturdays.  Check out this article from Don Cazentre from Syracuse.com that talks about local breweries and food trucks finding common ground.

April is Raining Beer!

Raining Beer!

We’d like first to say thanks for all the interest and invites we’ve had recently. We have an exciting month ahead of us, from small group tastings to big events, we hope to see a pitcher full of new faces.

For our first upcoming event Willow Rock is getting on the road to visit the Pompey Rod & Gun Club for a fundraising tasting event. This will be the first outside appearance for us and we couldn’t be more excited!

As for our in-house events, we are raising our glasses and opening the brewery doors to our neighbors in the Outer Comstock Neighborhood Association (OCNA). They will be hosting their OCNA Meet and Greet on Thursday, April 21 from 6:30-8pm, if you live in the neighborhood this is the event you’ll want to attend.

Next up is something new for Willow Rock Brewing Company and its drinkers-acoustic music! On Friday night, April 22 starting at 8:30pm we will fill our ears with the music from Garrett Walters and S.Cilantro of Wylie, a band from Bloomington, Indiana; following will be Patty Bikerack and Taylor Iauco. Come have a pint and enjoy the show, donations of $3 or more for the touring band are welcome!

To close out the month of April we are bringing in the ladies of the Syracuse Women of Craft Beer (SWCB) for a private Willow Rock Beer and Cheese Tasting co-sponsored by our friends at Gasparini Sales. This is a private event so if you’re looking to attend please see SWCB Meetup page for more information, they will not be taking walk-ins.

More events are being planned as we drink– more fun coming in May!

Food Trunkin’ & Beer Chuggin’ Success

We would like to thank everyone for coming out to our first Beer Release party ever! We couldn’t have asked for better people to enjoy this event with. Thank you to Tortilla Jacks Food Truck for supporting us these past Friday nights and creating a kickin’ Orange 44 fish taco–you gotta love dunked and drunk fish! We’d also like to thank Toss ‘n’ Fire Wood-Fired Pizza for letting us be the first location of the season to get the Food Truck party started. We hope to have more events in the future for our unique and interesting brews forth coming. We have some surprises up ahead that “Will Rock Your Roots,” stay tuned.
